Giuseppe Formica, jeune designer italien exilé au Danemark nous présente Espresso, une chaise à destination des bars et restaurants.
Une structure légère en hêtre stratifié permettant en un seul geste de la faire tenir en équilibre sur une petite table et permettre le nettoyage du sol. Réalisé en collaboration avec la marque Midform, sa finesse et facilité de montage / transport sont également très intéressantes.
« Espresso is a chair for café, particularly addressed to waiters. Through a simple function, which ease the movement of putting the chair on the table for cleaning, the profile changes radically. The challenge is to have a structure which is light but strong enough, and this is possible thanks to the techniques of laminated beech veneer, that give an excellent resistance. The final surface treatment is soaping, to preserve a natural look.
